Peer, Belgium

Peer is a municipality and city in Limburg province, in the Flemish Region of Belgium. On January 1, 2006 it had a population of 15,810 across a total area of 86.95 square kilometers, giving a density of about 182 people per square kilometer, and its sub-municipalities include Peer itself along with Grote-Brogel, Kleine-Brogel, Wauberg, Erpekom, and Wijchmaal. The town hosts Blues Peer, an annual blues music festival held each July.
