Dobrich

Dobrich is the ninth-largest city in Bulgaria and the administrative center of Dobrich Province, serving as the capital of the historical region of Southern Dobrudzha. It lies in northeastern Bulgaria about 30 kilometers west of the Black Sea coast, near popular coastal resorts, and takes its name from the medieval Bulgarian lord Dobrotitsa. The surrounding region is dominated by agriculture, with wheat and lavender oil among its principal products. As of 2024 the city had a population of 69,434 across an area of 109.018 square kilometers.
