Plzen, also known in English and German as Pilsen, is a city in the Czech Republic and the fourth most populous city in the country, with about 188,000 inhabitants. It is located about 78 kilometers west of Prague, at the confluence of four rivers, the Mze, Uhlava, Uslava and Radbuza, which together form the Berounka River.
