Lappeenranta is a city in the southeastern interior of Finland, in the Finnish Lakeland region, and the regional capital of South Karelia. It has about 73,000 residents in the city itself and roughly 88,000 across its sub-region, ranking as the 13th most populous municipality in Finland and the 11th most populous urban area in the country.
