Elusa was the Aquitani Roman city of the Elusates in Caesar's southwestern Gaul, on the site of the present day town of Eauze in the Gers department of France. Its name, drawn from the Aquitanian, proto-Basque Elusates people, evolved through Elsa in the tenth century and Euso in Gascon before becoming the modern French Eauze.
