Baunatal

Baunatal is a town in the district of Kassel in Hesse, Germany, whose name means Bauna Valley. It is a comparatively young town, formed in 1966 from the merger of the formerly independent municipalities of Altenbauna, Altenritte, Grossenritte, Guntershausen, Hertingshausen, Kirchbauna, and Rengershausen, and in 1999 it hosted the 39th Hessentag state festival.
