Hohenstein-Ernstthal is a town in the Zwickau rural district of Saxony, Germany, formed in 1898 through the merger of the two settlements of Hohenstein and Ernstthal. Silver mining began in the area in the fifteenth century, and the town is known today as the home of the Sachsenring racing circuit.
