Lugau is a town in the Erzgebirgskreis district of the Free State of Saxony, Germany, seventeen kilometers east of Zwickau and seventeen kilometers southwest of Chemnitz. It maintains international partnerships with Sallaumines in France and Penzberg in Bavaria. As of 2024 it had 7,481 residents across 22.29 square kilometers at an elevation of 400 meters.
