Ulm is a city in Baden-Wurttemberg, Germany, on the upper Danube at the edge of the Swabian Jura, with around 130,000 inhabitants making it the state's sixth-largest city. Founded around 850 AD, it grew wealthy as a free imperial city on the textile trade during the 15th and 16th centuries, and its Ulm Minster, at 161.53 meters, is the second-tallest church in the world.
