Wolgast is a town of about 12,000 people in the Vorpommern-Greifswald district of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany, on the Peenestrom facing the island of Usedom. It is linked to the Baltic Sea region by road and rail across a movable bascule bridge known as the Blaues Wunder.
