Antron, also called Antrones, was a town and polis of ancient Thessaly in the district of Achaea Phthiotis, at the entrance to the Maliac Gulf opposite Oreus in Euboea, in what is now Greece. It appears in the Catalogue of Ships in Homer's Iliad as one of the cities of Protesilaus and was known for producing some of the best millstones in Greece. The town was later purchased by Philip II of Macedon and taken by the Romans during their war with Perseus of Macedon.
