Bulis, also known as Boulis or Bulea, was a town of ancient Phocis in Greece, on the frontier with Boeotia, sited on a hill roughly seven stadia from the Crissaean Gulf. Ancient writers disagreed on its regional allegiance: Pausanias described it as bordering Phocis rather than belonging to it, while Stephanus of Byzantium, Pliny the Elder and Ptolemy all assigned it to Phocis. It was said to have been founded by Dorians under a leader named Bulon.
