Cyrtones

Cyrtones, also called Kyrtones or anciently Cyrtone, was a city of ancient Boeotia in Greece, east of Lake Copais and twenty stadia from Hyettus, situated on a high mountain travelers crossed on their way to Corsia. The city held a grove and temple of Apollo containing statues of Apollo and Artemis, along with a fountain of cold water at whose source stood a chapel of the nymphs.
