Euripus (Acarnania)

Euripus, also spelled Euripos, was a town in ancient Acarnania in western Greece, known mainly from inscriptions. Records show it hosted diplomatic representatives, called theorodokoi, sent from the sanctuaries of Epidaurus around 356 BC and Nemea between 331 and 313 BC, and it was a member of the Acarnanian League in the third century BC. Its site has been located near the modern village of Rouga.
