Halae, also spelled Halai, was a town of ancient Locris on the Opuntian Gulf that by the time of the geographer Strabo and the traveler Pausanias was reckoned part of Boeotia, described by Pausanias as the last town of Boeotia along the Platanias River. Its name is thought to derive from salt springs still found near the site, which lies close to the modern town of Theologos in Greece.
