Karpathos, also spelled Carpathus, was an ancient Greek settlement on the island of Karpathos in the Aegean Sea. It stood at the site of the modern town of Aperi, with its harbor at Poseidium. Surviving sources record little more than this basic geography, giving no figure for its population or a detailed history.
