Larissa Cremaste was an ancient town in the Achaea Phthiotis district of ancient Thessaly, situated on a height above the Maliac Gulf in front of Mount Othrys. Its epithet Cremaste, meaning hanging, distinguished it from the more celebrated Larissa of Pelasgiotis, which stood in a plain. Strabo described the town as well watered and noted for producing wine.
