Ledon

Ledon was a town of ancient Phocis in Greece, north of the town of Tithorea, and the birthplace of Philomelus, who commanded the Phocians during the Third Sacred War in the fourth century BC. During that war it was captured by the forces of Philip II of Macedon in 346 BC, and by the time the geographer Pausanias visited in the second century AD it had been abandoned, its residents having resettled along the Cephissus river some distance away. Its site is tentatively located near the modern village of Modi.
