Narycus

Narycus, also called Narykos, Naryx, Naryca or Narycium, was a town of the Opuntian Locrians in ancient Greece, remembered in tradition as the birthplace of the hero Ajax, son of Oileus, whom the poet Ovid described as a hero of Narycus. Historical events at the town are recorded in 395 BC and 352 BC, and its site is identified near the modern village of Rengini in Greece.
