Phrixa, also called Phrixae or Phrixai, was a town of Triphylia in ancient Elis, on the left bank of the Alpheius river about 30 stadia from Olympia. It was said to be one of six cities founded by the Minyans in the territory of the Paroreatae and Caucones, and its name was said to derive from Phaestus.
