Siphae, also known as Siphai or Tipha, was a town of ancient Boeotia on the Corinthian Gulf, said to take its name from Tiphys, the pilot of the Argonauts. In the time of Pausanias, the people of Siphae pointed out the spot where the ship Argo had anchored on its return voyage, and Pausanias also records a temple of Heracles there where an annual festival was celebrated. Apollonius Rhodius and Stephanus of Byzantium describe Siphae as a dependency of Thespiae.
