Sybrita was a town of ancient Crete, about eight Roman miles from Eleutherna, known for its numerous and finely made silver coins. Some of its coinage dates to a very early period and is considered among the finest examples of Cretan minting, with types connected to the worship of Dionysus and Hermes.
