Veria, officially transliterated Veroia and historically also spelled Beroea or Berea, is a city in Central Macedonia in northern Greece and the capital of the regional unit of Imathia. It lies about 511 kilometers north-northwest of Athens and about 73 kilometers west-southwest of Thessaloniki.
