Volos

Volos is a coastal port city in Thessaly, on the Greek mainland, about 170 kilometers north of Athens and 140 kilometers south of Thessaloniki. It is the capital of the Magnesia regional unit within the Thessaly Region and serves as the only sea outlet for Thessaly, the country's largest agricultural region. With a population of 85,803 recorded in 2021, Volos is an important industrial center whose port supports trade for the surrounding region.
