Kisvarda is a town in Szabolcs-Szatmar-Bereg County, in the Northern Great Plain region of eastern Hungary, near the borders of Slovakia and Ukraine. With a population of 16,669, it is the third-largest town in the county after Nyiregyhaza and Mateszalka.
