Vasarosnameny is a small town in Szabolcs-Szatmar-Bereg county, in the Northern Great Plain region of eastern Hungary. It has included the village of Vitka since 1969, and was itself formed in 1939 by the union of the villages of Gergelyi and Ugornya into Gergelyiugornya.
