Waterford is a city in County Waterford in the south east of Ireland, within the province of Munster. Situated at the head of Waterford Harbour, it is described as the oldest city in the Republic of Ireland. It is the fifth most populous city in the Republic of Ireland and the ninth most populous settlement on the island of Ireland as a whole, with 60,079 people living in the city and its suburbs as of the 2022 census.
