Brescello is a comune in the Province of Reggio Emilia in the Emilia-Romagna region of Italy, located about 80 kilometers northwest of Bologna and about 25 kilometers northwest of Reggio Emilia. Near the Po river, it occupies the site of the ancient Roman town called Brixellum or Brixillum, whose remains can still be seen in the town Antiquarium.
