Ikskile

Ikskile is a town in Ogre municipality, in the Vidzeme region of Latvia, on the right bank of the Daugava River about 28 kilometers from Riga and 7 kilometers from Ogre. It sits along the A6 highway and the Riga-Daugavpils railway line, was the first capital of the Roman Catholic Bishopric of Livonia, and is home to the oldest stone building in the Eastern Baltic.
