Grodzisk Wielkopolski

Grodzisk Wielkopolski is a town in the Greater Poland Voivodeship of western Poland. First documented in 1257 and granted town rights in 1303, it grew from an early medieval fortified stronghold into a historic center of brewing and meat production, and is the birthplace of the Grodziskie beer style. It is also home to the football club Dyskobolia Grodzisk Wielkopolski, which had notable success in European competition during the 2000s. The town had 13,703 residents according to 2006 data.
