Tarnowskie Gory is a city in Silesia, southern Poland, located in the Silesian Highlands near Katowice and serving as the seat of Tarnowskie Gory County. It lies in the north of the Upper Silesian metropolitan area, a conurbation of about 5,294,000 people, and had a population of 61,842 in 2021, making it one of the larger towns in Poland. It has been part of Silesian Voivodeship since 1999, having previously belonged to Katowice Voivodeship.
