Zielona Gora

Zielona Gora, whose name means Green Mountain, is the largest city in Lubusz Voivodeship in western Poland, with 140,403 inhabitants as of 31 December 2021 across an area of 278 square kilometers. Founded in the 13th century and granted town privileges in 1323, it is known for its vineyards and annual Wine Fest, and it shares status as a capital of Lubusz Voivodeship with Gorzow Wielkopolski, seat of the province's governor.
