Sezana is a town in Slovenia's Slovenian Littoral region, near the Italian border, and the seat of the Municipality of Sezana. The 2020 census recorded 6,037 residents across an area of 15.3 square kilometers. The town remained minor until the mid-19th century, when the Austrian Southern Railway linking Vienna and Trieste passed nearby and made it the most important center on the Karst Plateau; today it serves as an industrial and tourism hub near Postojna Cave and the Lipica Stud Farm, about 17 kilometers from Trieste.
