Luleå is a city on the coast of northern Sweden and the capital of Norrbotten County, the country's northernmost county. It has about 48,700 inhabitants in its urban core, with a total population of around 80,000 across Luleå Municipality, making it Sweden's twenty-fifth largest city. The surrounding archipelago is considered the world's largest brackish water archipelago, with 1,312 islands, several rivers, and extensive forestland.
