Varnamo, historically known as Wernamo, is a town in Jonkoping County in southern Sweden, on the river Lagan just north of Lake Vidostern. It is the seat of Varnamo Municipality and had 19,822 inhabitants as of 31 December 2020. Its name derives from the old Swedish varn, meaning sconce, and mo.
