Lugano is a city and municipality in the Lugano district of the canton of Ticino, Switzerland. It is the largest city in Ticino and in Switzerland's Italian-speaking region, with a population of 62,315 and an urban agglomeration of more than 150,000, making it the ninth-largest city in Switzerland.
