Aruba is a constituent country within the Kingdom of the Netherlands, an island in the southern Caribbean Sea approximately 29 km north of Venezuela''s Paraguana Peninsula and 80 km northwest of Curacao. In contrast to much of the Caribbean, Aruba has a dry climate with an arid, xeric landscape. Its capital is Oranjestad. Its land area is about 180 square kilometres, and its 2025 census population was 108,880.
