Orange Walk Town is the capital of Orange Walk District in northern Belize, on the banks of the New River. It is the center of Belize's sugarcane industry, surrounded by cane fields and served by a sugar mill, and its population includes a significant Mestizo and Mennonite farming community. The town lies near the Lamanai and Cuello Maya archaeological sites, both reachable by river.
