Puntarenas is a city in Puntarenas Province on the Pacific coast of Costa Rica, comprising the Puntarenas, Chacarita and El Roble districts as the seat of the Municipality of Puntarenas canton. As the city of the province's first canton, it also serves as the capital of Puntarenas Province.
