Bauta is a municipality and town in Artemisa Province, Cuba, about 40 kilometers southwest of Havana within the greater Havana metropolitan area. It covers 157 square kilometers with a population of about 51,300 as of 2022. The town is said to have been founded on January 14, 1879.
