San Francisco de Campeche, commonly known as Campeche, is a city in Campeche Municipality in the Mexican state of Campeche, on the shore of the Bay of Campeche in the Gulf of Mexico. It serves as both the municipal seat and the state capital, with a population of 220,389 at the 2010 census and 259,005 across the wider municipality.
