Ciudad Juarez

Ciudad Juarez, commonly known simply as Juarez, is the most populous city in the Mexican state of Chihuahua, known until 1888 as El Paso del Norte. Sitting directly across the Rio Grande from El Paso, Texas, forming one of the largest binational metropolitan areas on the US-Mexico border, Ciudad Juarez has grown into a major manufacturing center built around maquiladora factories that assemble goods for export to the United States.
