Burbank, California

Burbank is a city in the southeastern San Fernando Valley in Los Angeles County, California, about seven miles northwest of downtown Los Angeles, with a population of 105,833 as of 2025. It was named for David Burbank, who established a sheep ranch on the site in 1867, and the city was incorporated in 1887. Known as the Media Capital of the World, Burbank is headquarters to major entertainment companies including Warner Bros. Entertainment, The Walt Disney Company, Nickelodeon Animation Studio, and Cartoon Network Studios, and it was historically home to Lockheed's Skunk Works aircraft development program.
