Fremont, California

Fremont is a city in Alameda County, California, in the East Bay region of the San Francisco Bay Area. It was incorporated on January 23, 1956, when the five towns of Mission San Jose, Centerville, Niles, Irvington, and Warm Springs merged into one municipality, taking its name from the military figure John C. Fremont. According to the 2020 census the city had 230,504 residents, making it the fourth most populous city in the Bay Area and the second largest in Alameda County. Fremont sits close to Silicon Valley and has a strong technology industry presence, including Tesla's own primary vehicle manufacturing plant.
