Summit

Peaks and Summits

The highest point of a mountain, hill or ridge, the culmination of its slopes and the reference elevation by which the landform is measured. A summit may be a sharp point, a broad rounded dome, or a nearly flat plateau top, depending on the rock type and erosional history that shaped it.
