Highland

Highlands, or uplands, are areas of high elevation such as a mountainous region, an elevated mountainous plateau, or high hills. Upland is generally used for a range of hills roughly 300 to 600 meters high, while highland is usually reserved for ranges of low mountains, though the two terms are often used interchangeably and can include terrain transitional between hilly and mountainous.
