Doab

River Basins and Drainage Basins

Doab is a term used in South Asia for the tract of land that lies between two rivers that flow together, similar to an interfluve. The word derives from the Persian do-ab, a region lying between and reaching to the confluence of two rivers, and has been defined in scholarship as the inter-fluvial area between any two rivers.
