Hot Spring

Rock Formations and Monoliths

A natural pool or spring where groundwater heated by nearby magma or residual volcanic heat rises to the surface at an elevated temperature, often carrying dissolved minerals that can deposit distinctive colorful terraces around the spring's outlet. Hot springs occur in geothermally active regions worldwide and have long attracted both scientific interest and recreational use.
