Rock Formations and Monoliths

A single, large block of rock, typically standing alone and distinct from the surrounding landscape, formed either by erosion isolating it from the rock mass it was once part of or by the exposure of a single massive igneous intrusion. Uluru in central Australia is among the most famous monoliths in the world.
