Ollague, Chile

Ollague is a Chilean frontier village and commune in El Loa Province, in the Antofagasta Region, on the Andean altiplano bordering Bolivia, with a population of 199 at the 2012 census. Located 215 kilometers northeast of Calama at an elevation of 3,703 meters, it lies on the FCAB rail line and takes its name from the Aymara word Ullawi, meaning a place from which to observe or view things; the commune also encompasses the smaller localities of Cebollar, Ascotan, Amincha, El Inca, Coska, Puquios, and Chela.
